THE REDLANDS MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER SCHOOL
ABOUT RMTSS
Year after year, the REDLANDS MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER SCHOOL (RMTSS) is a jam-packed acting, singing, and dancing extravaganza!
Previously, this School Holiday program has encompassed intensive musical theatre training comprising of Singing Masterclasses, Dance Intensives, Acting Workshops, Performance Techniques and Audition and CV Sessions; all led by an incredible team of arts educators, performers, and industry contacts. Now, we are combining all of this into one week-long rehearsal and workshop intensive to produce a full length show within the week.
In the past, the REDLANDS MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER SCHOOL has provided workshops in ensemble singing, ensemble dancing, mock auditions, improvisation and theatresports, character development, clowning, storytelling through song and dance, goal setting as well as headshot photography, with participants receiving their favourite image for free and Q&A panels with local and international artists.
Past workshop leaders and artists include Jason Barry-Smith, Chelsea Dawson, Laura Greenhalgh, Luke Volker, Jared Mifsud, Jennifer Laycock, Nicolas Angelosanto, Benedict Braxton-Smith, Alex Woodward, Shaun Kohlman, George Canham, Kristen Barros and Danielle Walsh.
Designed for kids who love musical theatre and/or performing, the REDLANDS MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER SCHOOL is an opportunity for participants to not only fill their week with something they love doing but to also meet other like-minded people and forge connections.
The aim of the summer school is to equip participants with as much foundational industry knowledge as possible, whilst introducing them to industry professionals in a fun and supportive environment!
